You are on Accutane. Must be off for AT LEAST ONE YEAR.
You are sun burned.
You have open skin abrasions, active eczema, active psoriasis, or active acne in eyebrow area. Flare up must be healed before being tattooed.
You are pregnant or breastfeeding.
You have used a topical retinol, or vitamin A derivative (topical and internal). YOU MUST DISCONTINUE USE FOR AT LEAST 3 WEEKS PRIOR TO PROCEDURE.
You have recently had botox, fillers, or other injectables. YOU MUST WAIT AT LEAST 3 WEEKS TO HAVE COSMETIC TATTOOING DONE.
You have used Latisse and any other eyelash growth serums. YOU MUST DISCONTINUE USE FOR AT LEAST 3 MONTHS PRIOR TO PROCEDURE.
If you are unsure of any of the contraindications or have any questions, I encourage you to schedule a consultation! I designate enough time to thoroughly go through your skincare routine, your skin health, and medication list to ensure that you are in fact a candidate and will have a successful cosmetic tattoo experience!
Cosmetic tattooing is a 2-appointment process, your perfecting session is required. I cannot guarantee color and shape retention if you do not have the second session completed! That is included in initial cost.
We have the right to stop the procedure if we feel that your skin is compromised, abnormal bleeding occurs, or in cases of extreme sensitivity
Contraindication List
Am I a candidate for cosmetic tattooing? If you answer yes to any of the following questions, you are required to schedule a consultation prior to having cosmetic tattooing done:
Do you take blood thinners or blood pressure medications? (Dr’s note required)
Do you have rosacea?
Do you have a tendency to scar/develop keloids?
Do you have an autoimmune disorder? (Psoriasis, Diabetes, Eyebrow Keratosis, Thyroid disorder etc.) These disorders and medications used to treat, can interfere with healing and pigment retention.
Do you have any scarring, abrasions or moles in the eyebrow area?
Do you experience severe acne in the eyebrow area?
Do you have previous work done by another artist you want to cover, correct or touch up?
Do you have prominent wrinkling, or muscle tension in the eyebrow area?
Do you have thin or sensitive skin? Not every skin type is suitable for cosmetic tattooing.
Are you are allergic to Lidocaine, Tetracaine, and Epinephrine? (ingredients in primary and secondary numbing solutions used during procedure)
Do you use any acne or antiaging skincare products including but not limited to: AHA or BHA ingredients, Retinol, Retin-A, or Vitamin A derivatives?
